Techvana Museum Temporarily Open
One of the big draw cards for me at Digital Nationz 2014 was the Techvana Museum, a collection of Computers and Gaming consoles from yesteryear. Part of their presence at DNZ was to raise awareness and ultimately fund the start of New Zealand first Games, PC and Communications Museum.
Well they have opened, temporarily, in downtown Auckland. Geeksphere spoke to Techvana museum co-founder Mark Barlow about the current setup.
There will be two special open days November 1st and 2nd, check out their Meetup page here.
For most weekends they will be open from midday to 5pm each Saturday and Sunday, and are open on appointment during the week. While the setup is still rudimentary, it’s still a very cool setup that looks to grow into something very special for the New Zealand tech & gaming community.
They are still very interested in sponsorship from both large and small investors, so head along, have a look and chat to Mark and Katie about how you can be part of a significant piece of NZ history.
You can find out more details off their website www.techvana.co.nz.
